Armour Welfare Society established since 2007 at Vadanapilly gramapanchayath. To provide education for mentally challenged children.

Mentally challenged childern are the most disregarded section in our society. As they themselves are not conscious of their state, they need special attention and care from us. It is our responsibility to help them overcome the handicap and bring them to the main stream.

For this goal we started a school under this society on Thrithallur, in front of Govt.Hospital in Thrissur district. At present 59 children studying in this school. Also school gives vocational training to students for developing their talents.

The first thing is to recognize the symptoms at an earlier the better. Immediately after the detection of any symptom of retardation, He/She should be given proper and scientific training which will enable him/her to attain a degree of self sufficiency.

The attitude of the parents of challenged children plays an important role in treatment. They should understand that these children need special care and attention from their part. Challenged children cannot attend normal schools .

They need special training centers which are equipped with special instruments, devices and scientific methods to improve both mental and physical conditions of children.
